Boondock Maps (boondockmaps.com) is published by Lucky Future LLC, 30 N Gould St Ste N, Sheridan, WY 82801. This policy covers what we collect when you read the site, and what we do with it.

The short version: this is a reference site. There is no account to create, no form to fill in, and nothing to sign up for. We do not ask you for your name, address, phone number, or email in order to use the site.

What we collect

Nothing you type. The site has no contact forms, no lead forms, and no logins. Our calculators run entirely in your browser: the numbers you enter are never sent to us or stored anywhere.

Standard server logs. Our host records the usual request data (IP address, user agent, page requested, timestamp) to serve pages and defend against abuse.

Analytics, if enabled. We may use a privacy-respecting analytics tool to count page views and see which pages are useful. As of the date above, no analytics or tag manager is running on this site. When one is added, this policy will be updated to name it before it goes live.

Advertising cookies. Boondock Maps is supported by display ads. Ad networks commonly set cookies or similar identifiers to measure and target ads. No ad network is running on this site as of the date above. When one is added, this policy will name it and describe your opt-out options before it goes live.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your personal information.
  • We do not build advertising profiles about you ourselves.
  • We do not send marketing email. There is no mailing list.
  • We do not share your data with lead buyers, brokers, or partners. We do not run that kind of business.

Links off the site

We link out constantly: to federal and state land managers, state DOT pages, forest and park offices, and to retailers on our gear pages. Once you follow a link, you are on someone else's site under their privacy policy, not ours. Some retailer links are affiliate links, described in our advertiser disclosure.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information a business holds about you, to have it deleted, or to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because we do not collect personal information from you and do not sell data, there is usually nothing for us to look up or delete. You are welcome to ask anyway. Write to info@boondockmaps.com and we will answer.

Children

This site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

US audience

The site is written for people camping in the United States and is hosted in the US. It is available worldwide, but the content is US-specific.

Changes

If we change what we collect, we will change this page and update the date at the top. The meaningful changes to watch for are the analytics and advertising sections above.
